Coaches, my name is Toby White, and I am the creator of Down and Data. I am the Special Teams Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at TLCA-Abilene. Down and Data got its start back in the 2025 football season when I was coaching at Lubbock Christian High School, where my role within the staff was taking care of our analytics. Down and Data developed as a solution to a live-tagging frustration that was occurring during our season. The live-tagging software that was being used constantly would kick the coach using it off of the app during the game, we never knew if it was going to turn on, if it would upload to film correctly, or if it would even keep up with the game accurately. That is where Down and Data got its start, with my own in-game analytics program that I developed, I combined it with live-tagging, and made a reliable, robust, and simple live-tagging software that gets you advanced and high-level analytics all in the same process. Down and Data was made as a solution, and that is exactly what I am wanting it to be for other coaches and programs. As a coach, I understand the frustration of when things don't work like they should, it's too difficult to operate, or having to buy separate softwares for jobs that could easily be an all-in-one program. Down and Data helps erase those issues with having reliable, simple live-tagging, while still being able to get you advanced results in analytics and tagged data.
